This photo is actually somewhat inappropriately named. _THE_ Ice Over implies that there's only one, but the way that this winter has been going, I expect atleast a dozen more ice storms to hit this city. This was taken a couple hours after midnight on New Years Eve, after the party was all wrapping up. While my friend was chipping an inch of ice off his car with a pickaxe, I decided to take a photo or two with the 50mm/1.4 loaner that I was loaned. It's a pretty groovy lens, but still doesn't let me shoot in super dark situations.. life requires me to have a tripod.. or bipod.. or monopod. Let's just say I need a pod of some kind.
